so in efforts to wear dark lips this year i've been blowing money on lipsticks and crazy things, and finallyl found the perfect lippy thing: tarte lipstain in "moody", go forth and try! its lighter than a lipstick but when layered on, works just as well and even better cause its not a dry ass formula!! nobody likes dry lips, especially not your boyfriend! just sayin.

also, its a LOT easier to apply than a "real" lipstick. i mean, lip brushes are not exactly easy to find at une boite when your pretending to have a good time dancing to willow smith's whip my hair.

Adrian & co. left very early the next morning. They came to say goodbye and I have no recollection other than hugging them in my jammies. And then... sara and i slept till 2 pm and strolled down the street like an old married couple, settled on a brunch place and read the newspapers.

so my highlight / greater contribution to VFW was when i found our star designer Adrian Wu via lookbook.nu! Long story short, we were hyping each other's looks and i recommended him to the boss man and VFW decided to sponsor his show!
Following that, 10 insane days of arranging rooms, fittings, interviews and parties! Notice eating wasn't part of the schedule, pretty sure we all lost weight. (yay? don't judge)
Anyway, here are some photos from the first day aka Opening Gala. They're mostly from my shitty camera and also VFW photographers.

easter long weekend with my wolf pack aka diana and sara. we watched three hugh grant/colin firth movies, brunched at Abigail's Party, had Boneta's poutine three times on three consecutive days, wine and chocolate mousse at Bistrot Bistro (turns out i was allergic to the wine and almost died), partied around town with my little vintage prada backpack which ended in making our poutine at 3 am using McD fries and truffle oil from my house. also, we are well aware that we wrote chocolate mousse in french wrong on the card. please, we were high on wine and dirty jokes and not to mention, playing justin bieber's baby on sara's iphone at the restaurant. and you are right, it was not appreciated especially also because i started singing and dancing. inappropriate because im 23 and he is about 12?

YES that is marshmallow you see in the last photo. Everything but the kitchen sink is my favourite chocolate product from Dylan's Candy Bar. In fact between my friend diana and i, we have probably polished off 3 packs in this one month. my brother recently bought me the kitchensink one and chocolate covered cookie dough thingys (and no, he wasn't being sweet, i told him to). but diana and i still screamed like 5 year olds when we spotted the bag in my bedroom. we love it that much. anyway we were just passing by when we realized that Dylan Lauren was actually there to promote her candies. she said my outfit was "pretty". no bigs. now if only her dad was there, i would tell him that i only wear socks from ralph lauren. no lies. they are so comfortable. especially the padded ones for tennis.

i adore this collection, there is a lot of skin flashing but done in such a subtle wintery wonderland way in heavy wool and lace and feathers, and in such lovely colors! grey lace is the new black lace! the first two photos are my favourite looks, the coats' shilouette have a classic cool feel to it, especially paired with a bare midriff. missoni fall2010 showed lots of skin and colors as well,review it here.

lanvin's fall collection is so motherfuckin sexy. there are too many looks to choose from, from strong tailoring, to soft draping, fur, feathers, lace, leopard, tribal! the lace looks are my favourite, reminds me a just a teeny bit of stella mccartney ss09 but alber elbaz took it to the next level, i.e. the lanvin level. i'm also quite liking dresses that are long in the back or the side and dragged up in the opposite, see the fourth photo. side note, for this springsummer i am excited for light sheer dresses that are so long in the back that it touches the ground, and obviously cropped up in the front for major sexy legs time.

i want to rock the head-to-toe red outfit and be like what up im from mars bitches. anyway, i'm really loving this collection, it continues my adoration of ss2010, review it in this earlier post. anyway this collection has all the elements i love: gloves, hoods, and face armour. this needs to be the new trend, i love the chin contraption it is so bizarrely wonderful. see this post about body and face armour. forget those house of harlow head jewellry and that margherita missoni looked adorable in one, face armour needs to be the next best thing.

also, is it just me or do balenciaga shoes carry a similar vibe every year,

that is one sexy leopard print fur robe. i want one! i have a leopard print trench from rykiel but its nylon not fur. anyway my best friend makes fun of it. i don't know why. animal prints are so awesome, am always on the hunt for the perfect leopard fur coat. so i recently attended an African themed charity ball and leopard was everywhere, even our chairs were covered in leopard print fur. my cousin had the cutest vintage bottega bag for the night. go ahead and adore it.

salvatore ferragamo fall 2010

ferragamo is very swooshy and swingy this season.
i've always thought of ferragamo as so-so and not for me, but this collection is great! the styling really works and i just really like the swingy-ness.
also, that mustard yellow, burnt yellow, ash yellow is really making its round for fall, no? i like it. forget military green/olive (do it this summer or even right now!), yellow is definitely the standout color for fall. even for socks, note the first photo.

missoni fall 2010

missoni is okayy, i mean its really good but not as fabulous as last year's fall collection. that was probably my favourite collection of theirs to date, fall09 is haard to beat. they've just been going really strong every season.
anyway, the knits and layering are so great. why not wear obviously heavy knits and show some midriff. please, we'll be indoors anyway.
